It's been 20 years since I lived in Appleton. When I first moved back I had a good time just walking around and seeing how things were different from Miami and different from what I had remembered - which was next to nothing.
I kept seeing these signs all over town. When I asked my friends what they were for no one seemed to know.
It seems self explanatory as it's clearly labeled a defibrillator. But why are they everywhere? Is there someone about Wisconsin that makes the population more prone to sudden heart attacks?
Why are these so often located right next to a bar? Is there a connection?
Although in an emergency it is nice to know a defibrillator is handy, do I really want to general public operating one?
So many unanswered questions.
