The Lyrid meteor shower is tonight. The best viewing is expected to be between 1 am and 2 am. The moon is dark, so if you have clear skies and are far from city lights you can expect to see up to 20 meteors an hour.
Look straight overhead and let your gaze soften so your periphial vision will pick up the movement. The shooting stars will appear to come from the constellation Lyra, which rises over the eastern horizon in late evening.
